Belarus
Poozerye is characterized by the great landscape, species
and structural variety. Frequent alternation of morainal
hills and ridges with flat areas, narrow gullies is typical
for these places. In territory of more than 97 thousand
hectares there are 43 lakes, including the biggest one in
republic, namely the lake Naroch; there are forests in 40%
of the territory. This territory is inhabited by more than
20 species of mammals such as: the elk, noble deer, wild
boar, roe, wolf, raccoon dog, beaver, fox. There are 27
species of hunting birds nesting in these forests such as:
the cock of the wood, a black grouse, hazel grouse, partridge
and during the season of spring and autumn passage flock
of geese and ducks alight here. In the forestries of the
National park on the banks of the picturesque lakes Naroch
and Myadel there are guest well-appointed cottages for 4
- 6 people. Pure air, coniferous aroma and comfortable accommodation
make these places attractive to tourists, hunters, lovers
of fishing. Game husbandry has all necessary vehicles, other
equipment for carrying out hunting routs as well as a very
professional staff. Here you will not face indifference
and irresponsibility from any party. Annually they get about
200 wild boars here, 40 % of which have quite worthy trophy
qualities. Some individuals have fang reaching 70mm - 90
mm, and weight of these boars is up to 250 kg. Ways of hunting
used here are "hunting from the approach", "hunting
from a tower", "bringing to bay".
